| | Its 4 am. I've been tossing in bed since 2, so since I have time I thought I'd update my blog. We moved from Texas to Springdale, Arkansas last weekend. Here's a quick rundown. On Friday, March 13th my parents drove down from Oklahoma with an (borrowed) enclosed trailer to help us move. While passing through Sherman (about one hour from our home) someone "bumped" into the trailer and it came off the ball. The safety chains were on and did their job, but my parents went for a wild ride. They said at one point the truck was on two wheels. They feared for their lives. Praise God, no one was hurt. There was damage done to the truck and trailer and the nerves of my family. But we still loaded our rented moving truck and borrowed trailer Saturday morning and were on the road by mid-afternoon. My mom drove our van (with the boys and my niece) so that gave me six hours on the road in a vehicle all by myself!! It was great. My parents went home early Sunday morning, and the rest of the day would not have been fabulous without my two best girl friends and their hubbies! Becca took the boys to church while Sam helped us unload. Baked two spinach quiches for our lunch, stopped by Taco Bell to feed the kids and drove around until they fell asleep in the van! Amy and JR, who live in Oklahoma, rented a hotel room in Fayetteville so they'd be here to help us unload bright and early. Aren't my friends swell? Levi's parents were here too, they are always a blessing and big help! We had the truck unloaded by lunch AND had a great time. Go figure! We are now almost to the point where I can start decorating the house. I'll post pictures soon. In the meantime, I have got to find a doctor! For all of you worrywarts, I promise to start in just a few hours...when the rest of the world is awake. |
